An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Recreation Activities Supervisor within a premier holiday destination. This role is ideal for individuals currently engaged in Pool Management, Leisure Services, or Activities Coordination, who possess a strong commitment to enhancing guest experiences.
This dynamic position will be instrumental in spearheading a new development phase aimed at enriching the offerings for visitors and property owners. The focus will be on providing a diverse range of indoor and outdoor activities, including high ropes courses, zip lines, aquatic facilities with slides, adventure golf, and much more.
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the seamless operational execution of all recreational activities and experiences. The overarching goal is to provide an unparalleled experience for all guests while optimizing revenue and profitability, all while adhering to stringent health and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively managing, organizing, and overseeing the Recreation and Activities divisions.
- Ensuring the achievement of financial objectives for the department's profit and loss statements and guest satisfaction metrics.
- Recruiting, retaining, inspiring, training, and continuously developing department heads and their teams.
- Assuming full accountability for all revenue streams within the divisions.
- Managing approved budgets for controllable expenses and labor costs, while devising and implementing strategies to enhance sales year over year and achieve targeted profit margins.
- Focusing on establishing and monitoring business plans and performance goals with department leaders, taking necessary corrective actions as required.
- Guaranteeing the safety of guests and team members, as well as the security of all recreational equipment, chemicals, facilities, and pools.
- Regularly monitoring and responding to customer feedback to ensure satisfaction.
Candidate Profile:
Essential Qualifications:
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Proven experience in project planning and organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team effectively.
- Strong communication and persuasive skills.
- Previous success in implementing a comprehensive Activities and Leisure program.
Desirable Qualifications:
- NPLQ Lifeguard certification.
- Pool Plant Operations certification.
- RLSS Trainer Assessor qualification.
- National Pool Managers qualification.
