Job Title: Support Worker

Job Summary:

Capital Recruitment Ltd is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personal care and support to our residents, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Support residents with mobility and ensure their comfort and safety at all times.
  • Help residents with daily activities, including mealtimes and recreational activities.
  • Promote the dignity, respect, and independence of residents.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' health or wellbeing to senior staff.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure a high standard of care.
  • Provide emotional support to residents and their families.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a care home or similar setting.
  • A caring, compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to complete relevant training and work towards professional qualifications (e.g., NVQ in Health and Social Care).
  • A satisfactory DBS check.
  • Completed mandatory training within the past 12 months.
  • Completed moving and handling training within the past 12 months.

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards it).
  • Experience working with elderly residents, individuals with dementia, or those with neurological disabilities.
