Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Cost Estimator Specialist to join our dynamic team at LTM Recruitment Specialists Ltd. This is a permanent opportunity that offers the chance to work on diverse construction projects.

As a Cost Estimator Specialist, you will take charge of the contractual aspects assigned to you, working autonomously in your project role.

The ideal candidate will engage in various construction initiatives, delivering cost management guidance to design teams and clients, ensuring that informed decisions are backed by precise data. Typical project valuations range from £1M to £80M.

This role is perfect for someone eager to expand this service area within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely guidance to clients and project teams
  • Prepare and analyze budgets and cost plans
  • Manage costs effectively

Additionally, you will:

  • Prepare, validate, and agree on interim valuations and final accounts
  • Compile monthly reports
  • Complete savings reports for internal documentation

Risk Management:

  • Estimating
  • Contract Change Control
  • Lead and participate in contract meetings
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to enhance this segment of the business

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified as a Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, particularly the JCT Form of Contract
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with colleagues and clients
