Belfast City Council is seeking a visionary leader to drive economic growth and development in the city.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of high-quality economic, cultural, and skills development functions to meet the needs of citizens, investors, tourists, partners, and other key stakeholders.
The post-holder will join the senior team in the Council's Place and Economy Department and lead the functions in such a way that contributes positively to the city; secures continued investment and improvement; delivers sustainability and maximises economic growth, social inclusion, community well-being; and the quality of life and experiences of those who work, live, study or visit Belfast.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing economic growth strategies that drive investment and job creation
- Leading the development and delivery of cultural and skills development programs that enhance the city's reputation and quality of life
- Managing integrated services that deliver on strategic objectives while managing multi-disciplinary teams and budgets
- Collaborating with stakeholders to secure continued investment and improvement in the city
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading on the development and delivery of key economic growth strategies that have resulted in tangible outcomes.
They will also have experience of managing integrated services that have delivered on strategic objectives while managing multi-disciplinary teams and budgets.
