At Arriva Durham County Limited, we're committed to providing clean, sustainable, and reliable transport services to our customers. We're seeking an experienced and ambitious individual to join our garage as a PSV Engineer/Mechanic, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the fleet of PCV vehicles at our Darlington Depot, working shifts including earlies, lates, and weekends. Key responsibilities include:

  • Servicing and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards
  • Continuous improvement of vehicle standards
  • MOT preparation
  • Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA)

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of PSV/HGV maintenance with recognised qualifications (E.G level 3 NVQ)
  • Can work safely and unsupervised to pre-set standards and guidelines
  • Electrical knowledge is desirable but not necessary
  • A PCV license is desirable but not necessary
  • Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance (training can be provided) with IRTEC accreditation favourable
