Principal Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to join our team at Optos. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and verifying complex systems and software solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop automated testing frameworks and tools to ensure high-quality software releases
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs
- Develop and maintain continuous systems test suites, including unit tests, integration tests, and acceptance tests
- Prepare verification reports and associated documents to meet regulatory requirements
- Support the production unit for automation infrastructure setup and execution
- Evaluate system behavior by executing automation test suites and analyzing image characteristics under various environmental conditions
- Owning and running a testing community of practice to ensure testing best practices are applied and adopted across the organization
- Degree qualified in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in programming (ideally Python, but other languages such as C/C++, C#, Java, etc. are also acceptable)
- Experience using and developing DevOps tools and techniques
- Familiarity with virtual machine management tools (preferably for VMWare)
- Experience with integration of one or more of electronic/optical/mechanical systems/sub-systems
