About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting children and young people (CYP) experiencing a range of mild to moderate mental health needs within educational settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based psychological interventions to CYP within schools and other educational environments.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of CYP's emotional, behavioral, and social well-being.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
- Deliver group-based interventions to address common mental health challenges faced by CYP.
- Promote positive mental health and well-being within schools through training and consultation.
Skills and Qualifications
- Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Health Practice for Children and Young People (EMHP Qualification) OR CYPWP qualification.
- BABCP and/or BPS registered/registerable or working towards registration.
- Experience of managing a caseload of CYP with diverse mental health needs within educational settings.
- Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding procedures, and multi-agency collaboration.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
