Key Responsibilities
The Channel Sales Manager will oversee first-tier distributors in the UK and Ireland, aiming to harness and enhance market growth potential. This role involves educating the channel, assessing performance against established targets, and continuously evaluating potential distributors to ensure we partner with the best in the industry. Collaboration with another Channel Sales Manager and the broader sales team is essential to meet our collective sales objectives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing distributor accounts and serving as their primary contact on a daily basis.
- Aligning large account management efforts with distributor teams to maximize value for both customers and Axis.
- Setting annual targets and consistently monitoring key performance indicators.
- Overseeing stock levels, stock rotations, credit notes, pricing issues, and more.
- Planning, executing, and reviewing distributor marketing initiatives in collaboration with local marketing coordinators.
- Providing education to distributors on our products, solutions, tools, processes, and core values.
- Evaluating distributor performance, making strategic decisions, and collaborating with the Regional Distribution Manager.
This position may require occasional travel.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a proactive and dynamic team player who excels at developing and nurturing vital relationships with distributors. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities and exceptional communication skills, with a background in external negotiations. Building robust relationships across all organizational levels is crucial. Success in this role is often linked to a proven history of sales experience within the distribution and IT sectors, particularly focused on distributors and resellers. Experience in an international setting, along with the capability to plan activities, drive initiatives, and take full ownership of results, is highly valued.
We would particularly appreciate candidates who have:
- A minimum of 5 years in a similar sales position.
- At least 2 years of experience in a distribution environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with high interpersonal effectiveness.
- Experience in the Security or IT industry is a significant advantage.
- A driven, proactive, and self-motivated approach to teamwork.
- Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
- A strong emphasis on relationship management, with the ability to build and sustain client connections.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
