Job Title: Inspection Engineer

At Risktec Solutions Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Inspection Engineer to join our team. As an Inspection Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of pressurised equipment, tanks, and piping systems in accordance with regulatory and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Draft and review Written Schemes of Examination (WSE) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Identify plant preparation requirements from the WSE and coordinate with clients to ensure timely completion.
  3. Conduct examinations of equipment in accordance with the WSE, utilizing NDT techniques such as ultrasonic thickness checks and magnetic particle & dye penetrant flaw detection.
  4. Coordinate with third-party NDT providers for extensive requirements or specialist techniques.
  5. Prepare clear, concise written reports supported by photographs and assess deterioration of equipment.
  6. Review design calculations and grade defects, coordinating repairs as necessary.
  7. Participate in Risk-Based Inspection studies to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
  1. HNC/Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  2. Incorporated Engineer status (desirable).
  3. Mechanical Engineering background with understanding of engineering principles.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Eye for detail and ability to accurately follow procedures.
  6. Courage to make (and defend) difficult decisions.
  7. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
  8. Ambition to learn and progress.
