About the Role:

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about working with students with special needs and has a desire to learn and grow in this field. As a School Support Mentor, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with autism and social emotional and mental health needs
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Assist students with daily living skills, such as personal care and hygiene
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in class
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with special needs (desirable but not essential)
  • Passion for working with students with autism and social emotional and mental health needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
