Network Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team at SeAH Wind, a leading manufacturer of wind turbines. As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and securing our complex IT and Operational Technology (OT) network infrastructure.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Key Duties
  • Design and Implement Network Solutions: Develop and implement network architectures that meet the needs of our manufacturing environment.
  • Configure and Install Network Equipment: Set up and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices to ensure seamless connectivity and high-performance network operations.
  • Monitor and Troubleshoot Network Issues: Proactively identify and resolve network problems to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Maintain Network Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and integrity of our network infrastructure, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with OT Engineers: Work closely with Operational Technology engineers to support critical manufacturing processes and ensure smooth integration of IT and OT systems.
  • Provide Technical Support: Offer expert technical assistance to users and contribute to IT projects to drive business success.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Requirements
  • Experience with Cisco and Meraki Technologies: Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure using Cisco and Meraki technologies.
  • Knowledge of Networking Protocols: In-depth understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and others.
  • Background in IT Architecture: Strong foundation in IT architecture, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Relevant Industry Qualification: Hold a relevant industry certification, such as CCNA or CCNP.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex network issues and develop effective solutions.
