As an Indirect Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day UK VAT assignments of the business while supporting the Senior Manager within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly UK VAT returns and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Provide VAT advice to other departments across the business, ensuring accurate and timely support.
  • Liaise directly with HMRC on any VAT-related issues, maintaining a strong working relationship.
  • Provide VAT/GST support to overseas offices, ensuring seamless global operations.
  • Report directly to the Senior Manager, ensuring clear communication and a high level of transparency.
  • Assist in the continuous upskilling of the team and other departments, promoting a culture of excellence.

Requirements

To succeed in this position, you will ideally be CTA, ACA, or ATT qualified with a proven track record of preparing VAT returns, preferably within the financial services industry. You will possess strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex VAT information to key stakeholders. An excellent understanding of partial exemption is essential.
