We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to lead our team of engineers on various projects. As a key member, you will be responsible for managing projects from conception to completion, collaborating closely with clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and implement structural engineering solutions for clients, utilizing expertise in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
  • Prepare detailed drawings and calculations using AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct site visits and attend meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project progress and resolve any issues.
  • Select and specify construction materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and clients, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Liaise with design teams, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project coordination and successful completion.
  • Monitor and inspect work undertaken by contractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Prepare condition reports of existing structures, identifying potential issues and recommending solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of ten years relevant work experience in structural engineering, with a strong track record of project management.
  • MIStructE or MICE qualification, or working towards it.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, with a minimum of 5 years UK-based experience.
  • Experience with design software such as Tekla TEDDS, Tekla Building Designer, Fastrak Portal on UK projects.
  • Experience in steelwork and reinforced concrete design.
  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and deliver projects from start to finish.
