Job Title: People Business Partner

We are seeking a highly skilled People Business Partner to join our team at the Low Carbon Contracts Company. As a key member of our HR function, you will play a critical role in driving business outcomes through people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with senior leaders and managers to drive business outcomes through people
  • Manage complex employee relations issues and provide commercially focused business partnering services
  • Develop and implement people plans that add tangible value to the business
  • Coach and support leaders and managers to facilitate effective people decisions
  • Use data to drive insights into people activities and demonstrate value added and/or return on investment
  • Collaborate with the People Team to develop and deploy cyclical activities, such as performance and talent management and salary review processes
  • Support talent attraction and drive advocacy for our employer brand and opportunities
  • Drive a high-performance culture and ensure effective use of feedback and robust management of underperformance and behaviours not consistent with the LCCC culture and values
  • Partner with Learning & Development to ensure development needs are well understood, line manager capability is built, and high potential is identified and retained
  • Work alongside Internal Communications to ensure the effective deployment of the engagement survey and drive completion, action, and clear communication of outcomes
Requirements:
  • Proven experience operating as a Business Partner to senior leaders and managers in a progressive, commercially focused business
  • Practical experience of managing complex employee relations issues
  • A strong focus on 'getting the basics right' and driving effective, pragmatic people lifecycle processes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to strike an effective balance between support and challenge
  • Results orientated, with good business acumen and strong commercial awareness
  • Experience of managing change initiatives and proven ability to deal with ambiguity
  • The ability to positively represent the People function at all levels
  • Ability to 'zoom in and out' effectively and work at pace to deliver an excellent service
  • Broad understanding of and experience in talent acquisition, reward, learning and development, and performance and talent management
