As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical installations, collaborating with project managers and clients to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical installations, including heating, plumbing, air conditioning, ventilation, and BMS systems.
- Analyse project plans and specifications to determine scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Review and adjust estimates as necessary to align with project goals and budget constraints.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, materials, and labour costs.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of estimating procedures and databases.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the mechanical contracting industry.
- Strong knowledge of heating, plumbing, air conditioning, ventilation, and BMS systems.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in relevant estimating software and tools.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and meet deadlines.
