About the Role

Sphere Fluidics Limited, a leading provider of single cell analysis and isolation technologies, seeks a highly skilled and results-driven Supply Chain Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for managing the entire supply chain process, from procurement to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Lead a small team of technicians and allocate their tasks to ensure efficient operations.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, production planning, and supply chain risk management to ensure uninterrupted production and meet customer demand.
  • Procurement: Send forecasts and purchase orders to key vendors, negotiate with suppliers, and identify key drivers of cost.
  • Logistics: Collaborate with the logistics department to plan and ship instrumentation and consumables to customers.
  • Team Management: Line manage a team of two senior assembly technicians, oversee work planning, progress tracking, and develop weekly KPIs for regular reporting.
  • Documentation: Maintain key documents such as batch records, SOPs, and KPIs in line with the company's ISO9001:2015 accreditation.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the delivery of a best-in-class ERP system to upgrade the team's processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure that Sphere Fluidics and our supply chain partners utilize relevant ISO, CE/CB, and other relevant standards, including Sustainability and Environmental Management.
  • Reporting: Generate professional reports on agreed-upon basis for inventory, forecasting, and other key activities.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Supply Chain Manager, ideally in a Life Sciences or Engineering organization.
  • Skills: Proven track record in implementing efficient processes for planning and shipping goods, with an emphasis on handling instrumentation and navigating customs challenges.
  • Education: Minimum A-level or equivalent educational experience.
  • Personal Qualities: Passionate about providing great service and achieving operational excellence, organized, diligent, and pays high attention to detail, competent negotiator, and proactive, self-sufficient, and highly motivated.
