Job Description

NRL Recruitment is seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a leading process/manufacturing facility in Teesside.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the plant is operating at maximum efficiency and capability to meet business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure all duties are carried out safely and in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and guidance notes.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Lead daily operations of the business unit.
  • Manage overall manufacturing operations capacity and interactions between departments (manufacturing, supply chain, etc.).
  • Lead improvement plans to achieve budgets and overall performance targets through the management team.
  • Lead the operations team to deliver operational excellence, ensuring individual and departmental performance targets and KPIs are met.
  • Achieve and exceed EBITDA target by ensuring revenue targets are achieved and costs are controlled in line with business objectives.
  • Manage human resources to maximize performance, carry out line management functions relating to personnel issues.
Requirements
  • Commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to contribute to and shape operational strategy and thinking.

  • Plan and coordinate the manufacturing of products in compliance with company goals and objectives.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualification in Operations or Leadership Management.
  • Intermediate Microsoft package IT skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Management-level Health & Safety qualification.
  • Full current car driving license.
  • Qualification in performance management.
  • Degree-level or equivalent in Business Administration or Engineering.
  • Experience managing at a senior level.
  • Achieving clearly defined KPIs.

  • Management of multi-million-pound project start-up.
  • In-depth knowledge of plastics recycling processes.
