Job Title: QA Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Technician to join our team at Veetee. As a QA Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily GMP audits of the warehouse, factory exterior, and office block areas to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Regularly inspect packing lines to ensure products are manufactured to the correct specification.
  • Check packing lines and equipment to ensure they are working correctly and calibrated as needed.
  • Verify date coding and labeling of finished goods are accurate, readable, and meet customer requirements.
  • Carry out traceable tests to ensure product quality and safety.
  • Maintain product samples of daily production and regularly check for quality or defects.
  • Conduct tests on raw materials and packaging quality, as well as develop technical reviews of suppliers.
  • Continuously check products for quality, taking immediate action on any deviations from specification and recording all tests.
  • Ensure all associated paperwork is completed properly, accurately, and on time.
  • Complete batch end procedures and reconcile packed stock, packaging, and raw materials.
  • Meet production deadlines and minimize wastage.
  • Ensure the tidiness of the work area.
  • Assist in training others on equipment once fully competent.
  • Participate in non-conformance investigations and resolutions as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous QA or food handling experience within a food manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Intermediate certificate in Food Hygiene and understanding of HACCP principles.
  • Numerate and literate, with the ability to follow instructions.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to cover different shift patterns to cover absence/holiday and overtime as required.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
