We are currently seeking a dedicated and approachable individual to support KS3 and KS4 classes at a reputable SEN Secondary School. This institution prioritizes creating a supportive atmosphere that encourages effective engagement in all aspects of learning for students with special educational needs.

Position Overview:

  • Assist the classroom teacher (4-8 students per class)
  • Support outdoor excursions and activity days
  • Embrace the school's mission and core principles
  • Work with students with Autism Spectrum Conditions, complex needs, and challenging behaviors
  • Full-time role from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Provide individualized and small group support to help students stay aligned with the curriculum

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exhibit patience, initiative, and resilience, as this role can be both challenging and fulfilling
  • Previous experience in a special educational needs setting (not essential)
  • Strong capability to establish relationships and rapport with students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Requirements for Employment:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • An updated CV with two relevant references from the past two years
  • A DBS registered with the update service or willingness to apply for one through our agency
