In this pivotal role, the chosen candidate will take charge of supplier sourcing and management, contract drafting and negotiation, and will oversee the complete supply chain process from inception to completion.
The ideal applicant will have extensive experience in procurement or purchasing, particularly within a manufacturing context, at a senior buyer or supply chain manager level, and will be motivated to further their career.
Key Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Manager include:
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify and procure the most dependable and cost-efficient products and suppliers, taking into account price, quality, delivery timelines, and industry standing.
- Negotiate and finalize agreements with suppliers, ensuring compliance with the organization's standards for quality, delivery timelines, and pricing.
- Oversee the quality of service provided by suppliers and promptly address any issues to uphold a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with suppliers through consistent communication, collaboration, and transparency.
- Formulate and execute strategies for the procurement, storage, and distribution of goods to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Manage the entire supply chain process for key contracts in close partnership with relevant business units.
Candidate Profile for the Supply Chain Manager:
- Proven experience in a procurement or purchasing role within a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in managing and leading a team.
- Exceptional communication skills across all levels and departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Driven and ambitious with a strong desire for career advancement.
This position is ideal for individuals who have previously held roles in purchasing or procurement as a sourcing specialist, commodity manager, category manager, senior buyer, or supply chain manager.
