Position: Support Worker - Home Care

Compensation: Up to £14.50 per hour

Non-Driving Roles Available

Flexible Full-Time and Part-Time Shifts

We are actively seeking dedicated and empathetic Support Workers to join our team. Our ideal candidates will be available for early morning shifts from 7am to 9am and evening shifts from 7pm to 10pm.

  • Entitlement to Holiday Pay based on hours worked, plus an additional week after a decade of service.
  • Guaranteed contracted hours based on availability.
  • Loyalty Bonus: Incremental increases of 25p per hour after one year, 50p after three years, and 75p after five years.
  • Mileage reimbursement at 30p per mile, with the option to claim back via HMRC.

As a Support Worker, your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals who need help with daily living activities. You will ensure that each client receives customized care that respects their dignity and enhances their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, toileting, and dressing.
  • Administer medications as per prescribed guidelines.
  • Provide emotional and social support, engaging clients in activities that promote their physical and mental wellbeing.
  • Assist with meal preparation, serving, and monitoring dietary requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily activities and observations.
  • Support clients with mobility, including transferring them from beds to chairs or wheelchairs.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment by assisting with housekeeping tasks and adhering to infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a care environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A compassionate and caring disposition with the ability to empathize with others.
  • Strong communication skills to foster positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • A patient and calm attitude, capable of managing challenging situations professionally.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative when necessary.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Right to work in the UK.
