Job Summary

Kinder Nannies & Staff Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced nanny to join our team as a full-time caregiver for a baby and toddler in London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Childcare:
    • Provide high-quality care and attention to the baby and toddler, prioritizing their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
    • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks, adhering to the family's dietary instructions.
    • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy sleep routine for the children.
    • Engage in outdoor activities, such as walks and trips to the playground, while ensuring the children's safety.
    • Transport the children to extracurricular activities, such as music and swim classes.
    • Organize playdates with other children, either through family friends or neighbors.
    • Administer medication to the children only as directed by the family.
    • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate activities for the children, both indoors and outdoors.
    • Provide a nurturing, safe, and educational environment for the children, aligned with the family's preferences.
  • Household Duties:
    • Maintain the children's bedrooms and other areas in a tidy and organized manner.
    • Wash baby bottles, pacifiers, and related items.
    • Change linens in the children's sleeping area as needed.
    • Handle the children's laundry.
    • Run or unload the dishwasher.
    • Restock the changing table and empty the diaper bin.
    • Run occasional errands.
    • Communicate with other household staff, such as cleaners or gardeners, as needed.
  • Communication with the Family:
    • Maintain direct, proactive, and honest communication with the family at all times.
    • Keep a daily digital log to record important details about the children's welfare, including medications, meals, nap times, and a narrative of the day's activities.
    • Notify the family if any household supplies are running low.
    • Share pictures and/or videos of the child when convenient.
    • Be adaptable, recognizing that duties may change as the child grows and the family's needs evolve.
Requirements
  • Fluency in German, French, or English.
  • Recent experience working with babies and toddlers.
  • Interest in early years education.
  • Considerable experience in sole charge care of 2 young children.
  • Up-to-date Enhanced DBS (we can help you apply).
  • Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Good references for recent and relevant nanny work and jobs that have each lasted a good length of time.
  • Able to run after young children.
  • Available for long-term employment.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Please note that this is a strictly non-smoking position.
