Job Summary

Kinder Nannies & Staff Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced nanny to join their family on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing top-notch childcare and household duties for a baby and toddler in a spacious London home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Childcare:
    • Prioritize the children's mental, emotional, and physical safety above all else.
    • Prepare and feed meals, snacks, and bottles as per the family's instructions.
    • Maintain the children's personal hygiene and dress them appropriately.
    • Ensure the children have healthy sleep habits.
    • Take the children on walks and supervise outdoor activities, including trips to the playground.
    • Transport and assist the child with extracurricular activities, such as music and swim classes.
    • Organize playdates with similarly aged children, either through family, friends, or neighbors.
    • Administer medication to the children only as directed by the family.
    • Engage in developmentally appropriate activities both inside and outside the home.
    • Provide a nurturing, safe, and educational environment for the children in line with the family's preferences.
    • Offer suggestions on childrearing and care; the family values your input.
  • Household Duties:
    • Keep the children's bedrooms and other areas tidy.
    • Wash baby bottles, pacifiers, and related items.
    • Change linens in the children's sleeping area as needed.
    • Handle the children's laundry.
    • Run or unload the dishwasher.
    • Restock the changing table and empty the diaper bin.
    • Run occasional errands.
    • Communicate with other household staff, such as cleaners or gardeners, as needed.
  • Communication with the Family:
    • Maintain direct, proactive, and honest communication with the family at all times.
    • Keep a daily digital log to record important details about the children's welfare, including medications, meals, nap times, and a narrative of the day's activities.
    • Notify the family if any household supplies are running low.
    • Share pictures and/or videos of the child when convenient.
    • Be adaptable, recognizing that duties may change as the child grows and the family's needs evolve.
    Requirements
    • German, French, or English speaker
    • Recent baby/toddler experience
    • Interest in early years education
    • Considerable experience of sole charge experience of 2 young children
    • Up-to-date Enhanced DBS (Kinder Nannies & Staff Ltd. can help with the application)
    • Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate
    • Right to work in the UK
    • Good references for recent and relevant nanny work and jobs that have each lasted a good length of time
    • Able to run after young children
    • Be available long-term
    • Excellent English
    • Please note that this is a strictly non-smoking position
