Job Title: Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

British Sugar PLC is a leading manufacturer of sugar and sweeteners, with a strong presence in the UK and EU markets. We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our team at our Wissington Factory.

Job Purpose:

As an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for providing direct proactive and reactive maintenance and repair of our equipment. You will work closely with the Engineering Lead and other technicians to ensure the smooth operation of our plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance to plant equipment
  • Install new plant or modifications to existing equipment
  • Responsible for safe and compliant reactive and proactive electrical and instrument fault finding, maintenance, and repair
  • Undertake maintenance testing and commissioning of plant in readiness for production
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, with experience working in a similar environment. You will also need to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
