Archive Preservation Specialist

Job Summary:
The Preservation Conservator (Archives) is a key member of the Preservation Team, responsible for implementing and delivering preservation programs for IWM's analogue archive collection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Integrated Pest Management, environmental monitoring and control, hazard awareness, and collections emergency planning and salvage.
- Work closely with other teams to support the development of permanent and temporary exhibitions, digitalization projects, and storage programs for the analogue archive collections.
- Collaborate with the Preservation Team to ensure the preservation of IWM's analogue archive collection.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in preservation and conservation, with experience in managing analogue archive collections.
Working Environment:
The post is based at IWM's Duxford branch, with occasional work required at other museum sites.
