Archive Conservator

We are seeking a highly skilled Archive Conservator to join our team at the Digital Preservation Coalition. As a key member of our Preservation Team, you will be responsible for implementing and delivering preservation programs of work for our analogue archive collection.

Main Responsibilities:

• Implement and deliver preservation programs of work for the analogue archive collection, including documents, sound recordings, film, photographs, and printed ephemera.
• Develop and maintain integrated pest management, environmental monitoring and control, hazard awareness, and collections emergency planning and salvage.
• Collaborate with other teams to support the development of permanent and temporary exhibitions, digitalization projects, and storage programs of work for the analogue archive collections.
• Work closely with the Preservation Team to ensure the long-term preservation and accessibility of our digital assets.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in archive conservation and preservation.
• Strong knowledge of preservation principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
