Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at St George's Primary School. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teachers to deliver outstanding lessons to our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliment the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for learning activities under the professional direction and supervision of a qualified teacher.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes and monitor pupils and assess, record and report on pupils' achievement, progress and development.
  • Line management and development of a specialist area within the school and/or management of other teaching assistants including allocation and monitoring of work, appraisal and training.

Requirements:

  • Good standard of general education including a good applied literacy and numeracy skills.
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with families and young people.
  • Recent experience working in an educational environment.

Working Arrangements:

This is a permanent position working 19.5 hours per week, term-time only, with 5 additional days. The successful candidate will be based at St George's Primary School, working for the St Cuthbert's Roman Catholic Academy Trust.
