Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and education of young children in nursery settings across Scarborough and surrounding areas.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, supporting children under 5 years old in their learning and development. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes children's physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children's learning and development through play-based activities and educational programs
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and implementation
  • Provide individualized support to children with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Use technology, such as iPads and computers, to record children's progress and development
  • Participate in observations and assessments to inform teaching and learning
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education, or a related field
  • Experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or preschool setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their development
