About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Winchester, a category B Prison located in Winchester. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality healthcare to our patients, working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership for the primary care team, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care that meets CQC requirements.
  • Be accountable for your practice, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge or referral of patients, independent of medical intervention.
  • Share your experience and knowledge by being involved in the educational and professional development of the nursing team through clinical supervision sessions and formal teaching opportunities.
Requirements
  • Registered NMC Nurse - Adult or Mental Health
  • Independent/supplementary prescriber qualification
  • MSc in Advanced Practice
  • Experience working autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner
  • Evidence of implementation of local and national policies
  • Experience demonstrating high levels of clinical expertise in decision making and judgement
