Position Overview

The Customer Marketing Team at Legal & General Retail is seeking a Customer Data Analyst to enhance analytical processes through comprehensive data analysis and automation.

This role entails overseeing and evaluating data and models from various sources, pinpointing automation prospects, and converting data into actionable insights to bolster the team's efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and sustaining analytical test models, tools, and automated workflows to facilitate robust, actionable customer analysis that drives incremental uplifts in Net Business Value Added (NBVA) and informs strategic decision-making.
  • Leveraging customer data, segmentation, data visualization tools, and other methodologies to derive value from our customer base.
  • Participating in projects that support business initiatives across sales and marketing, utilizing a comprehensive analysis toolkit, including innovative techniques and tools.
  • Delivering comprehensive customer insights, including gathering requests from internal stakeholders, planning analyses, manipulating data, generating insights, and presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with the broader team and the Data Analytics Manager to integrate and connect insights from various projects to drive NBVA growth and inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensuring compliance with data storage policies and secure data transfer in accordance with legal and regulatory standards, including GDPR and the Data Protection Act, aligned with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
Qualifications:

  • A degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in implementing analytical processes to yield robust insights and a strong understanding of analytical best practices within the Customer Analytics team.
  • Proven ability to share knowledge with colleagues and uphold output standards.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and familiarity with analysis tools such as Alteryx or Dataiku is highly desirable.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences.
