Senior Procurement Sourcing Specialist is required for a 10-month contract with a global Engineering company. You will be joining the EMEA Sourcing organisation in the Mechanical Systems category team.

This Senior Procurement Sourcing Specialist is a full-time role, based from home, with a requirement to attend site for meetings. Hourly pay rate between £25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

  1. Conducting complex analysis of markets, supply chains, and supply base.
  2. Understanding how key procurement principles are used toward assuring supply.
  3. Sourcing specialised items and executing complex sourcing strategies in accordance with agreed upon sourcing strategy/plans at the optimum cost, quality and relationship.
  4. Working with peers and stakeholders to support business goals, such as supply security, reduction of complexity or financial targets.
  5. Execute sourcing tactics of varying complexity in accordance with established category/commodity strategies reflecting the optimum cost, quality, delivery.
  6. Analyse complex sourcing and procurement initiatives and processes in support of the delivery of cost effective and high-quality goods and services.
  7. Prepare and present to senior procurement/sourcing leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet business objectives.
  2. Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  3. Conduct market research and analysis to inform sourcing decisions.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business results.
  5. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
  6. Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  1. Background in procurement within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
  2. Data analytical skills.

This role requires a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.
