Senior Procurement Sourcing Specialist is required for a 10-month contract with a global Engineering company. You will be joining the EMEA Sourcing organisation in the Mechanical Systems category team.
This Senior Procurement Sourcing Specialist is a full-time role, based from home, with a requirement to attend site for meetings. Hourly pay rate between £25.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Conducting complex analysis of markets, supply chains, and supply base.
- Understanding how key procurement principles are used toward assuring supply.
- Sourcing specialised items and executing complex sourcing strategies in accordance with agreed upon sourcing strategy/plans at the optimum cost, quality and relationship.
- Working with peers and stakeholders to support business goals, such as supply security, reduction of complexity or financial targets.
- Execute sourcing tactics of varying complexity in accordance with established category/commodity strategies reflecting the optimum cost, quality, delivery.
- Analyse complex sourcing and procurement initiatives and processes in support of the delivery of cost effective and high-quality goods and services.
- Prepare and present to senior procurement/sourcing leadership.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet business objectives.
- Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and analysis to inform sourcing decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business results.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Background in procurement within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Data analytical skills.
This role requires a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.
