Early Years Leader Job Description

At Ultimate Activity, we're seeking an exceptional Early Years Leader to join our team and deliver an unforgettable experience for our young campers.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a highly skilled and passionate Early Years professional to lead our Early Years programme on camp. As an Early Years Leader, you'll be responsible for creating a fun and engaging environment that fosters learning and development in our 4- and 5-year-old campers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a high-quality Early Years programme that meets the needs of our young campers.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging sports, arts, and crafts activities that promote participation, development, and enjoyment.
  • Lead and support a team of Early Years staff to ensure high-quality childcare is delivered at all times.
  • Ensure all Ofsted requirements are met, and liaise with the Camp Manager to maintain the highest standards of childcare.
  • Be the main point of contact for parents and guardians, providing regular updates and feedback.
  • Manage administrative duties, including sign-in/out, registration, and other tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Educated to a minimum of Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare or Primary Education, with significant experience working with 4- and 5-year-olds.
  • Experience of working with children and delivering activities that cater to different ages and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to lead a group of children and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and its application in a camp setting.
  • Excellent communicator with great face-to-face customer service skills.
