Role Overview
The College is seeking a Fabric Technician to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of its facilities.
Main Responsibilities
As a Fabric Technician, your duties will include:
- Overseeing the integrity of the College's buildings through routine maintenance, urgent repairs, and minor projects.
- Engaging in tasks such as carpentry, general building upkeep, small-scale installations (e.g., kitchens), wet trades, tiling/sealing, landscaping, painting, and more.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations while ensuring a safe working environment.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should possess:
- A relevant qualification in a building-related trade or craft.
- Proven experience in executing general building repairs and maintenance to a high standard.
- Experience in maintaining buildings within commercial settings and customer-oriented environments.
- Strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using a variety of power tools, hand tools, and equipment across different tasks.
- A strong work ethic, high productivity, and a good pace.
- Physical fitness and agility, as the role involves manual handling and working at heights across a multi-building estate.
Compensation and Benefits
The College offers a competitive salary of £34,000 per annum, along with 25 days of annual leave, an additional two days during the Christmas period, and complimentary meals while on duty.
