Child Protection and Court Team Social Worker

We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our busy front door team, specializing in Child Protection and Court cases. The successful candidate will be based in our Plymouth office, with opportunities for hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cases for court and provide expert testimony on behalf of the Authority
  • Participate in the service duty system as required
  • Conduct thorough assessments and risk evaluations using recognized tools and processes
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records, adhering to practice standards and data protection guidelines
  • Deliver specialist interventions, underpinned by safeguarding principles, as needed
  • Engage in regular supervision, practice development, and team collaboration

Requirements:

To be considered, applicants must hold a Social Work qualification (Diploma in Social Work, Social Work Degree, or equivalent) and possess at least 3 years of post-qualified experience working as a Qualified Social Worker in a similar team.
