Glass Door Homeless Charity operates London's largest Emergency Winter Night Shelter and is seeking a dedicated Fundraising Manager to ensure the continuity of our services and enhance our outreach and casework support.

Permanent (with a probationary period)

Reporting to:
Head of Fundraising & Major Donors

Responsible for:
Managing the Fundraising Officer (Events and Community) and overseeing the events budget.

Hours of work:
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary:
£38,000 – £42,000 pa

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for our events, community fundraising, and corporate partnerships.Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with the Head of Fundraising & Major Donors and other Fundraising Managers to refine and enhance our established fundraising strategy aimed at maximizing income from events, community fundraising, and corporate partnerships against annual targets.

Events Management:
Take overall responsibility for the design, planning, and execution of all Glass Door events, including our flagship fundraising event. Conduct evaluations post-event to assess successes and areas for improvement. Ensure health and safety protocols are prioritized in all event planning.

Corporate Partnerships:
Engage in pitching for corporate support, managing a portfolio of partnerships focused on employee fundraising, cause-related marketing, and pro bono support. Develop a pipeline of corporate prospects, re-engaging lapsed donors and identifying new partners.

Community Fundraising:
Oversee collaboration with community groups, ensuring adequate support and guidance is provided. Establish new community fundraising initiatives to complement existing events.

Compliance:
Stay informed of fundraising legislation and ensure compliance with the Code of Fundraising Practice. Regularly communicate updates to the Fundraising team and maintain an up-to-date Fundraising Policy.

Other Duties:
Foster strong relationships with donors, the Board of Trustees, staff, volunteers, and stakeholders. Manage the relevant fundraising budget, including income and expenditure forecasts.

Person Specification:
We are looking for an energetic and insightful individual with experience in managing complex events and building fruitful relationships with corporate and community fundraisers. You should be a confident self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks.Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in managing complex events with significant income targets.
- Success in securing income from diverse fundraising streams.
- Strong understanding of relationship management with various stakeholders.
- Up-to-date knowledge of fundraising regulations and data protection.
- Experience in budget management and reporting.
- Familiarity with health and safety procedures.
- Strong copywriting skills for fundraising materials.
- Experience in managing staff and volunteers.
