About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer providing fresh and innovative food services to independent schools and colleges.

As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our Head Chef to design and implement new menu concepts, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their full potential and deliver exceptional results.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Maintain a high level of food safety and quality standards, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the management of kitchen inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer feedback and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience working as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Qualifications: Relevant culinary qualifications, such as a degree in culinary arts or a professional certification.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of food safety and quality standards, as well as relevant regulations and guidelines.
