About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at Barchester Healthcare Ltd. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring the delivery of nursing care to our residents. Your primary focus will be on implementing person-centred care plans that meet the unique needs of each individual, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC registration. You will have a strong background in producing well-developed care plans and detailed risk assessments, as well as up-to-date knowledge of recent clinical practices and regulatory frameworks. As a natural leader, you will have experience in mentoring and supporting newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship. You will be dedicated, ambitious, and resilient, with a strong track record of delivering improvements to achieve quality care.
