Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Recycling Operations Specialist to join our team at ABM. As a Recycling Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of waste and recycling operations at our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain a comprehensive waste management program, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including facility managers and operations teams, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor waste and recycling operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and functioning efficiently.
- Develop and implement training programs for employees on waste and recycling procedures, ensuring that all staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- Monitor and analyze waste and recycling data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and develop strategies to optimize waste reduction and recycling efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and implement new technologies and processes as needed to improve waste and recycling operations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a waste management or recycling role, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of waste management regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in environmental science, waste management, or a related field preferred.
