Job Title: Electronic System Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electronic System Engineer to join our European Machine Systems team in Peterborough. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the design and development of cutting-edge machine control system technology for construction machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Electromechanical Control Systems using quantitative methods to provide solutions.
  • Diagnose electronic, software, and hardware controller and sensor issues on development machines, test bed, bench, and dSPACE HIL.
  • Be involved in the electronic installation appraisal of engine ECU for machine sign off.
  • Plan, develop, and execute validation activities to mitigate project risk and ensure solutions are verified and validated for market introduction.
  • Identify and successfully resolve issues found during product development, assembly, and post-production implementation.
  • Conduct control system tuning/calibration activities on test bench and/or on test bed/machine to achieve desired system performance.
  • Plan and execute verification and validation testing for electronics/control system software in SiL, HiL, or on-test bed or development machines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electronics/control system issues encountered during engine or power system running.
Requirements:
  • Three years plus experience in Automotive, Off-Highway, machine/engine/EV control system development (or comparable automotive, marine, or military vehicle control systems).
  • Three to six years' experience of diesel Engines with a strong technical background primarily in construction equipment, automotive.
