Job Title: Knowledge and Innovation Legal Engineer

Freeths LLP is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support the Director of Knowledge and Innovation and the Senior Manager of Legal Innovation and Change in delivering the firm's innovation portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director and Innovation Manager in discovering new applications of available KM LegalTech, with a focus on user onboarding/training, discovery sessions, workshops, and awareness-raising efforts.
  • Act as Product Manager for KM LegalTech products, including document automation and Sharepoint Pages, and new AI technologies under consideration.
  • Capture detailed problem statements and essential collateral in relation to identified strategic areas of priority.
  • Prepare thorough, robust Business Cases and project plans in support of new LegalTech evaluation processes.
  • Collaborate with IT BAs to prepare user requirements for new solutions that support Freeths Agreed Best Practice for new or improved legal processes.
  • Act as Lead Engineer, building collateral or solutions that support FABP, working with lawyers and Knowledge Lawyers as appropriate.
  • Track and drive adoption of FABP processes that leverage tools and processes for which you have played a Design/Development role.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of relevant, practical experience in LegalTech and legal innovation.
  • Practical experience with document automation and/or workflow design.
  • BA Foundation/Practitioner certification desirable but not essential (training may be available to the successful candidate, if required and subject to business case).
