About the Role

This exciting opportunity is open to University of Leeds students enrolled in a degree course or PhD for the 24/25 academic year only.

We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Sustainability Service as Student Sustainability Architects. As part of our team, you will play a key role in delivering sustainability projects that align with our strategic objectives and develop your own ideas to increase student opportunities in sustainability at Leeds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take the lead on delivering projects that support the University's strategic approach to sustainability, with particular emphasis on student engagement and working across the institution and externally.
  • Work collaboratively with the Sustainability Service team to develop and implement sustainability projects that meet the needs of the University and its students.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the University and externally to facilitate behavior and process change.
  • Contribute to the development of the University's sustainability strategy and Climate Plan.
What We Offer

As a Student Sustainability Architect, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in sustainability project management, develop your skills and knowledge in sustainability, and contribute to the University's sustainability goals.

You will be required to work flexibly, which may include working evenings and weekends when appropriate and working variable hours (approximately 4-6 hours per week up to a maximum of 100 hours per project, split over the project duration).
