About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Applications Analyst to join our team at NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board. As a key member of our Digital Transformation team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of digital technologies across our organization.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive digital support services to new and existing users of healthcare systems, including supported 3rd party systems within the boundaries of NHS Gloucestershire.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of short and long-term plans to ensure digital services and systems meet existing and future requirements.
  • Implement policies, procedures, and associated plans for the provision, receipt, administration, and use of systems and infrastructure.
  • Input to planning and design within the Digital Transformation team and with external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the training of technical and support staff, both within and beyond the organization, on core digital and associated IT applications.
  • Supervise junior staff, including work allocation, appraisal, and career development, within the postholder's technical domain.
Requirements
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Good knowledge of system administration, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Experience with software development methodologies and frameworks.
  • Good understanding of cloud computing platforms and support of Web Services/Applications/Websites.
  • Knowledge of current developments in information and communications technology.
  • Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks and industry standards.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
Personal and People Development
  • Demonstrate a commitment to undertake further training and development as agreed with line manager.
  • Track record of delivery of IT projects or system implementation to defined standard, on time and within budget.
  • Evidence of effective IT supplier management.
  • Experience of successful delivery across the full project lifecycle.
  • Ability to work independently and on own initiative, with limited supervision.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Planning skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines.
