Job Title: HSE Officer

Join the Adler Pelzer Group, a global leader in acoustic and thermal components and systems for the automotive sector, as we seek a dedicated HSE Officer to support our manufacturing site in Tipton, UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage site safety and environmental issues, ensuring managers are aware of their HSE risk management responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain site HSE policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date.
  • Coordinate and manage actions to address site safety issues.
  • Manage training activities related to compliance, such as MEWP, First Aid, and Fire.
  • Coordinate fire alarm testing and maintenance, recording results.
  • Coordinate plant risk assessments with departmental managers.
  • Maintain a database of contractors and their documentation.
  • Manage insurance matters, including EL claims.
  • Coordinate accident and near-miss reporting, investigation, and remedial actions.
  • Liaise with landlords, local councils, contractors, and building surveyors as required.
  • Create and maintain key HSE KPIs on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure new employees receive a comprehensive HSE induction.
  • Support internal and external audit programs.
  • Conduct daily safety walks to maintain visibility on the shop floor.
  • Advise on and assist with other relevant HSE matters.
Requirements:
  • Excellent IT skills and general knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • NEBOSH Certificate level.
  • IOSH Managing Safely.
  • Internal Auditor for ISO14001.
  • Experience in environmental management.
Personal Qualities:
  • Organized and methodical approach to role responsibilities.
  • Experience working in a similar environment.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Attention to detail in maintaining HSE records.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with managers and employees at all levels.
