Production Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Technician to join our team at Liverpool John Moores University.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will assist the Senior Technician in the preparation and delivery of practical demonstrations, including timetabled sessions, workshops, and demonstrations of production technologies such as Adobe Creative Suite, video and DSLR cameras, audio recording, and portable lighting equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Support the day-to-day running of designated spaces, including the use and booking of specialist kit and facilities.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of practical demonstrations, including timetabled sessions, workshops, and demonstrations of production technologies.
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical expertise in production technologies, including Adobe Creative Suite, video and DSLR cameras, audio recording, and portable lighting equipment.
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Technician and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of production activities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience of working in a production environment, preferably in a Higher Education setting.
- Strong technical skills in production technologies, including Adobe Creative Suite, video and DSLR cameras, audio recording, and portable lighting equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
