We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Lambeth. The successful candidate will work in the Resource Base with children who have been diagnosed with ASD, providing individualized support and creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with children with SEN (ASD focus) on a 1:1 and small group basis in the Resource Base onsite
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, adapting materials to meet the needs of children with ASD
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress and well-being
Requirements
  • Good academic record, including A level and GCSE qualifications
  • Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in an ASD-focused setting
  • Calm and compassionate nature, with the ability to remain patient and adaptable in challenging situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, teachers, and other support staff
