Job Description

Law Staff Ltd is seeking a seasoned Senior Legal Cashier to join its dynamic accounts team in Oxfordshire. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules and providing exceptional financial administration support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of client billing accounts receivable and issuing client and office cheques.
  • Reconcile bank, petty cash, and general ledgers to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
  • Handle general enquiries and resolve queries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with paying suppliers via the online banking system and reconcile control accounts as required.
  • Provide administrative support for the accounts team, including general housekeeping of files and ledgers.
Requirements:
  • Experience in general accounting procedures in compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules in legal practice.
  • Credit control experience is advantageous.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
  • Methodical approach to work and excellent communication skills are required.
  • Proficient IT skills, including Word and Excel, are necessary.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Committed team-worker with a strong work ethic.
