Position Overview:
The Logistics Associate role encompasses a variety of warehouse responsibilities, including occasional administrative support during peak times and holidays. You will collaborate with a dedicated team, demonstrating efficiency and commitment in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong organizational skills and a moderate level of physical fitness, as it involves significant manual handling during the picking and packing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the unloading of delivery vehicles and shipping containers, as well as verifying incoming stock
- Picking and packing orders for shipment
- Conducting periodic stock checks
- Providing administrative support during busy periods and holidays
- Maintaining clean and organized workspaces
Qualifications:
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated and diligent
- Physically fit, as lifting is a significant part of the role
- Proficient in Excel
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting, or relevant retail experience
Preferred Skills:
- Forklift license (Aislemaster/Counterbalance) is advantageous
- Experience with Sage/SAP is a plus
