About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Advisor to join our City and Hackney Home Treatment and Crisis Team. As a senior member of staff, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and effective care to individuals in crisis.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake face-to-face comprehensive assessments, including risk assessments, to effectively and efficiently support individuals in crisis.
  • Work collaboratively with the Mental Health Liaison Team and Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team to develop a cohesive crisis service pathway.
  • Support staff's professional development, experience, skills, and knowledge through training and development opportunities.
  • Develop skills through in-house training and development programs to build assessment and formulation skills, risk management of psychotic, depressive, self-harm, and suicidal presentations.

Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse, Registered Social Worker, or Registered Occupational Therapist with current professional registration.
  • Mentorship preparation or equivalent.
  • Recognized post-registration training.
  • Evidence of continual professional development.
  • CBT and/or brief intervention/solution-focused therapy and/or motivational interviewing or willingness to undertake.
Experience
  • Substantial post-qualification experience in the field of mental health crisis.
  • Previous experience working autonomously.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary mental health team.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment and ensuring that nursing practice is culturally sensitive.
  • Extensive and demonstrable experience of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating programs of care.
  • Essential and demonstrable experience of writing concise and clear clinical reports.
Working Arrangements

This is a full-time permanent position with a salary of £42,471 to £50,364 per annum, including HCAs. The successful candidate will be required to work across three different shift patterns, including early shifts, late shifts, and long days.
