Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present management accounts and accompanying commentary to stakeholders.
  • Develop and present budgets and periodic forecasting and gap analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with department heads to review and discuss closed ledgers and management accounts.
  • Review transactional data to ensure accurate information is carried into management information packs.
  • Partner with business units to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Support the preparation of year-end audit data and liaise with auditors to address queries.
  • Serve as a point of contact for external surveys and provide ad-hoc analysis as requested by senior leadership.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, accompanied by a relevant accounting qualification and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Exceptional Excel skills.
  • Ability to present complex data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and data cleanliness.
  • Excellent negotiation and discussion facilitation skills.
  • Experience with accounting software packages and a history of improving their use.
  • Experience in producing year-end accounts and running year-end audits.
  • Proficiency in using Power BI, Sage, or similar tools.
  • Coding ability.
