The Aftersales Service Engineer is a key role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-centric approach. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality service to customers, ensuring timely and safe completion of tasks, and maintaining a strong focus on compliance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize PDA software to obtain tasks and ensure timely completion of allocated work.
- Communicate effectively with line managers and scheduling departments to address any issues or concerns.
- Provide regular updates to customers regarding ETA and any delays, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Conduct visual risk assessments on each job and report any concerns to line managers.
- Offer feedback on parts used and ensure pre-payment for end-users.
- Deliver excellent customer service, discussing recommendations, service plans, and upgrade options with customers on-site.
- Perform monthly stock takes on van stock or stock stored at lockups.
- Participate in on-the-job training and personal development courses as directed by line managers.
- Liaise with customers on-site, addressing issues and updates, and seeking office involvement for additional costs.
- Maintain company property and vehicles in accordance with company policy.
- Report and complete any other tasks as required by line managers.
Essential:
- At least 1 year of electrical or mechanical engineering experience and electrically competent.
- Physically fit to perform the required job, with a medical check may be required.
- Hold a Clean Driving Licence and undergo a driving licence check.
- Experience working in a similar role or environment.
- IT literate, especially in MS products and PDA reporting systems.
- Proven ability to fault-find in demanding environments.
Desirable:
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in the Wastewater/Water Industry.
- Proven experience working with Sewage Treatment/Pump Stations.
- Experience in working in the sewerage treatment industry in a similar role.
- Understanding of our client and other manufacturers' Wastewater products.
Salary base £28k - £31k (Can go to £32k with experience).
£100 a month full attendance bonus.
Up to an additional £100 per month on additional sales leads bonus.
Company van and tablet provided.
Bonus: (subject to business achieving performance targets).
